Dear Friends

Dear Friends is a guided audio app with meditations, reflections, prayers, visualizations, affirmations, and restful audio for everyday life.

It offers different ways to slow down, understand what you’re feeling, explore what matters to you, imagine new possibilities, or settle into sleep.

The library makes room for calm, joy, connection, difficult seasons, spiritual curiosity, personal change, and the ordinary experiences that shape a life.

Dear Friends has been shaped by years of reading, listening, practicing, and learning from teachers across meditation, spirituality, psychology, philosophy, and subconscious work.

Whenever a specific teacher, author, book, or body of work directly inspires the central idea behind a meditation, reflection, prayer, visualization, or other recording, that inspiration will be acknowledged in the About This Track section.

These acknowledgments are included both out of respect for the people whose ideas helped shape the work and so that, if something resonates with you, you can explore the original teacher or source for yourself.

Every Dear Friends recording is independently written and created in its own voice, structure, and style; an acknowledgment of inspiration does not imply that the original teacher, author, publisher, or estate is affiliated with, involved in, or has endorsed Dear Friends.

Explore & Reflect is the spoken library within Dear Friends. It brings together meditations, reflections, prayers, visualizations, affirmations, and guided practices for everyday life.

You can explore breath and body practices, emotional wellbeing, relationships, healing and change, spiritual questions, abundance and prosperity, daily practices, and methods for shifting repeated beliefs and inner narratives.

Choose a subject or practice that fits what you need that day. Each Card Preview explains the kind of experience you will hear.

A reflection is a spoken piece that explores something carefully and honestly.

It may look at a relationship, a pattern you keep repeating, something you regret, the need for approval, a difficult emotion, or a question you have been carrying.

There is no exercise you have to perform. You can simply listen and notice what the piece brings forward in you.

Yes. Explore & Reflect includes breathing practices, body scans, walking meditation, mantras, everyday mindfulness, and other guided meditations.

You can also choose reflections, prayers, affirmations, and visualizations. Some pieces combine formats—for example, a reflection may lead into guided imagery, or a prayer may include a period of quiet attention.

The Card Preview identifies the format, while About This Track explains what the recording explores.

Dear Friends is not affiliated with a religion or denomination.

The library includes prayer and spiritual exploration, alongside meditations, reflections, and restful audio that don’t require a particular belief.

You choose what you listen to.

Prayers in Dear Friends begin with the words Dear God.

For me, God means a universal intelligence or consciousness present within and throughout life.

That is my understanding; you are free to hold your own. Prayer is an optional part of the library, and many pieces make no reference to God.

Absolutely.

Prayer is only one part of Dear Friends. Reflections, guided practices, sleep, music, nature, and most of the Explore & Reflect library can be used without any religious or spiritual belief.

Choose what is meaningful to you and leave what is not.

Explore & Reflect has eight themes:

Breath & Body — Practices that bring attention to breathing, physical sensation, movement, and a chosen point of focus.

Emotional Wellbeing — Understand your feelings, recognize recurring patterns, and explore how attention, technology, and self-relationship shape everyday life.

Love & Relationships — Friendship, family, intimacy, conflict, and the experience of being close to other people.

Healing & Change — For loss, changing health, endings, and the uncertain process of living differently.

Spirit & Meaning — Prayer, trust, purpose, and the larger questions that shape how you understand your life.

Abundance & Prosperity — Work, opportunity, money, home, and material wellbeing, held within a larger understanding of a meaningful life.

Daily Practices — Practices, reflections, prayers, and affirmations for beginning, pausing within, and consciously closing the day.

Subconscious Shift — Affirmations, autosuggestion, visualization, and work with the beliefs and inner stories that shape expectation and action.

No.

Dear Friends is designed so you can begin with what feels relevant to you now.

You may want a reflection one day, a visualization or guided practice another day, prayer at a difficult moment, or simply rain or music while you rest.

There is no correct way to use Dear Friends.

Sleep has its own dedicated area within Dear Friends.

Choose Sleep Stories, Guided Sleep, Sleep Affirmations, or Night Prayers & Blessings. Guided Sleep includes body relaxation, breathing, and visualizations designed for bedtime.

Daily Practices is a theme in Explore & Reflect with four subcategories: Morning Start, Midday Pause, Evening Reflection, and Mindfulness in Daily Life. Evening Reflection keeps you awake and engaged; Sleep lets you drift off. Music, Nature Sounds, and Noise for Rest have their own sections.

Yes.

Music, nature, and noise can be played on their own. You can also use background audio beneath spoken content and adjust the balance to create the listening environment you prefer.

No.

Dear Friends is a resource for reflection, contemplative practice, spirituality, imagination, personal exploration, and rest. It is not therapy, medical treatment, addiction treatment, or a substitute for professional care.

Some pieces may draw from psychological ideas or explore difficult subjects from personal experience. They are intended to support reflection and awareness, not to diagnose or treat a condition.

I choose the subjects, shape the ideas and structure of each piece, personally revise the writing, record the narration, and make the final decisions about what is published.

I also use AI-assisted writing and editorial tools during the creative process to help explore ideas, challenge drafts, and refine language.

The experiences, perspective, direction, and final judgment behind the work remain personal.

Yes. The recordings are my own natural voice, made in a professional home studio.

Premium gives you access to the full Dear Friends library along with features such as offline listening, playlists, expanded background audio, music, nature sounds, sleep content, saved listening, and other premium features available in the app.

Dear Friends is currently planned at $7.99 per month or $59.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial.
